Regulatory Compliance means preventing, analyzing and responding to risks in which a company may incur in the regulatory field to avoid being criminally liable in a court of Justice.
What does it mean?
Corporate Compliance refers to the legal behavior of company´s employees. Every employee is obliged to obey all applicable laws and to follow the company´s guidelines.
What is the aim?
Legal persons may avoid being involved in criminal actions caused by its representatives or employees by exercising appropriate control through the implementation of an action protocol to assert their ethic principles and to address their illicit actions.
In Common Law, this protocol is known as Corporate Compliance.
